St Affrique (25 km)

Located in the heart of the Parc Natural Régional des Grands Causses, St Affrique has kept its medieval streets and its ‘Pont Vieux’, (old bridge), and is one of the most beautiful medieval bridges in France. There is a traditional market every Saturday morning, providing an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of buying and selling local produce, before stopping for a coffee amidst lively local conversation in one of the many café/bars. As well as an abundance of smaller shops, St Affrique has 3 larger supermarkets.

Brousse le Chateau (10 km)

Brousse Le Château is a breathtakingly pretty spot beside the river Tarn. It is amongst the ‘Plus Beaux Villages de France’ and is home of a fortified chateau dating back to the 9th-12th centuries. Brousse is an ideal place to take a short trip back into history by walking across the Romanesque medieval bridge, before visiting the chateau. Without a doubt Brousse is an extremely photogenic village not to be missed.
